WORLD BASEBALL CLASSIC

Korea against Mexico yesterday, and Korea won!  Then today it's Venezula vs Puerto Rico.  I've never watched so much baseball on TV before.  It's like the World Series every night!

Man I wish I was in San Diego to watch the next Korean game.  I can't imagine what it will be like in L.A. if Korea makes it to the finals!

Shot 81 at Spring Valley, AGAIN!

Darn it, I just can't seem to break 80 at this course.  I've come close so many times.  Shot 4 over in the front! Six PARS, 2 bogeys, and one Double Bogey!... but the back I got killed!  Seven over through 16 and then a Birdie on 17 gave me a chance, but Bogeyed the 18 again!   Shooting 7 over in the back.  Oh well, another day!

MOVIES...

Valkyrie with Tom Cruise was okay...not as good as expected, but DEFIANCE with Daniel Craig (from James Bond movies) was better than expected.  I don't like movies about WWII that involve stories about the Holocaust.  I think to this day, I have bad memories of ready the story of Anne Frank when I was in the 5th or 6th grade.   I still have not and will not watch the Shindler's List.  I also had bad memories of Band of Brothers when they showed the scenes of the concentration camps near the end of the story...I just think it was too horrible what happened then and I don't need to be reminded of it...

Super Bowl 2009!

I want the Steelers to win because...I don't like the Cardinals!  They cost me on a 3 game parlay many years ago, and I still remember it!  Secondly, I don't like Kurt Warner (ex-Rams!), besides gotta root for Hines Ward, he's 1/2 KOREAN!!!

2009 Not a good start for Poker!

2 weeks in a row I busted out to Lyssa!  What's up man???!!!!  I can't believe it...It's gonna be a long year!

Broke 80, AGAIN!!! 77 at San Jose Muni !!!

Three Birdies in the front to shoot just 1 over in the front.  Back nine was not as easy.  Almost double bogey free, until the last hole!!!  But managed to hold it together to shoot just 4 over in the back for a 77!  That's twice in one year!

Love Me if You Dare...

I first saw this movie maybe about 3 or 4 years ago.  This is the first movie which I saw Marion Cottilard.  The movie is an off-the-wall crazy French movie with subtitles.

I don't know what it is about her, but I found her very attractive.  More recently, she played in "A Good Year" with Russell Crowe.  Which was really a pointless movie, but none the less confirmed my first thought about how attractive she was.
I don't know why I find her attractive?  Her pictures are not THAT hot but there is a cuteness about her...

LPGA @ Half Moon Bay

Paula "Pink Panther" Creamer wins at Half Moon Bay!!! What an awesome day! She started the day with a lead and ended with 1 stroke victory.
We started the day at the first green, greeting all the players as they walked up to the tee. The first group included Angela Park, the Korean from Brazil, that now lives in Florida. Anyways, I say Good Morning to her in Portuguese and she looks over and smiles! Nice.
We also saw Anika, Lorena Ochoa (very cute) and all the other Korean players.
I look forward to next week at Blackhawk!

The Eagle has landed!

Spring Valley Golf Course - I still can't break 80, but on the 17 hole, par 5, I hit my drive to the junk on the left, then I hit my second shot with a 5 wood, hit a tree and ended up about 50 yards in front of the green...

...Then magic happened. I hit my chip shot with a sand wedge in front of the green and rolled up to the hole, and THEN...

...The ball disappeared...

Nice...

Finally broke 80, again! 77 at Palo Alto

What an unbelievable round. Par 72, Blue Tees, 6580 yards. Shot 4 over in the front and 1 over in the back. It was the best round of golf EVER! Here is what my scorecard looked like...
